An extensive collection of B/A tins.

A two-sided rack on wheels,
with two narrow channels at the
top for flat quarts. In use in 1960.


On the top row, are the
'OUTBOARD MOTOR OIL / UTILITY MOTOR OIL'

tin quarts with the roundel screen printed on the caps.
Some of these tins came with a non-painted cap.
Bilingual, English and French. In use 1948 through 1960.

On row two, are the (Society of American Engineers)
'S.A.E. 10W. DIESELUBE HEAVY DUTY MOTOR OIL'

(screen printed on the top with yellow background) tin quarts.
Unilingual, English only. In use in 1960.

On row three, are the darker coloured transition
Gulf orange/blue 'MOTOR OIL' tin quarts.
(Society of Automotive Engineers SAE, American Petroleum Institute, API, and
American Society for Testing and Materials, ASTM),
'DG-MM', mild for diesel engines, medium for gasoline engines.
Bilingual, English and French. In use through 1967 and 1968.

On the bottom row, are the lighter coloured
transitional Gulf orange/blue 'MOTOR OIL' tin quarts.
(SAE, API and ASTM), 'DG-MS', mild for diesel engines, severe for gasoline engines.
Bilingual, English and French. In use through 1967 and 1968.

On the top row, are the 'OUTBOARD MOTOR OIL'
plastic quarts with the 'B/A' embossed cap.
Bilingual, English and French. Used 1961 through 1966.


On row two, are the darker coloured transition
Gulf orange 'PEERLESS MOTOR OIL' tin quarts.
(SAE, API and ASTM), 'DM-MS', medium for diesel engines,
and severe for gasoline engines. Bilingual, English and French.
In use through 1967 and 1968.

On row three, are the lighter coloured transition
Gulf orange 'PEERLESS MOTOR OIL' tin quarts.
(SAE, API and ASTM), 'DM-MS', medium for diesel engines,
and severe for gasoline engines.
Bilingual, English and French. In use through 1967 and 1968.

On the bottom row, are the 'PEERLESS PREMIUM MOTOR OIL' tin quarts.
(SAE, API and ASTM), 'MM', medium for gasoline engines.
Bilingual, English and French. In use 1959 through 1961.
